DR. NANCY A. GLOWACKI
WOMEN VETERAN PROGRAM MANAGER
Dr. Nancy A. Glowacki serves as the Women Veteran Program Manager with the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) Veterans’ Employment and Training Service (VETS). In this role she is responsible for continuously monitoring the overlapping considerations of working veterans and working women to ensure that DOL’s employment services are meeting the needs of women veterans. She also serves in an advisory role on the status of women veterans and employment and collaborates with interagency partners to ensure that service providers and other influencers of women veterans know how to access free employment services available to their women veteran clientele.
Prior to coming to VETS, Dr. Glowacki served as a subject matter expert on veterans’ transition issues in employment and special challenges faced by disabled veterans and veterans of the Global War on Terrorism. At the Department of Veterans’ Affairs, she led a national initiative designed to bring Vocational Rehabilitation and Employment services to servicemembers pending medical separation from the military. She also served as a subject matter expert on military issues and government employment of veterans. Dr. Glowacki represented the agency to external organizations, including the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities, the Veterans Advisory Committee on Rehabilitation, the Department of Defense, and DOL.
As an independent consultant, Dr. Glowacki served as a subject matter expert on veterans’ employment initiatives, including the National Resource Directory and America’s Heroes at Work. She also facilitated the Transition Assistance Program (TAP), working face-to-face with servicemembers, veterans, and spouses to assist them in their transition to civilian careers. Her volunteer service includes acting as a team leader at VET Foundation Compass Retreats for Wounded Warriors and she has served as an appointed committee member for the Department of Veterans Affairs’ Advisory Committee for Women Veterans and Advisory Committee on Rehabilitation.
Dr. Glowacki is a veteran of the U.S. Army and served among both the enlisted and officer ranks. Dr. Glowacki’s education includes a Doctorate of Management in Organizational Leadership, a Masters of Business Administration in Human Resource Management, and a Bachelor of Science.
